  • Create the check as usual. Fill in the (a) payee name, (b) date when the check was written and (c) check number. Ensure that you have selected the correct bank account. The (e) category is not extremely important but it cannot be left blank either. After that, enter an (f) amount of $0.00 and note in the (g) description box that it is a voided check. Finally, click on the (h) “Save and Close” button.
